Casually embarked upon in 1997 as a record of the pow wows Miko attended, The Virginia Intertribal project has evolved into an exploration of heritage, history, and an attempt to represent the dignity and uniqueness that is the Native American culture within the state of Virginia.

To date approximately 2000 images have been captured; many of which have been disbursed gratis to the subjects portrayed.
